Covid-19 Statement

MEP statement of clarification of our position during the current Covid-19 pandemic, from our Founder & Executive Director, Bob Anderson.

"Given the uncertainty of the current situation worldwide due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would like to clarify MEP’s position regarding its projects in the immediate and longer term.

I would like to assure everyone concerned that MEP is committed to its programme and wants to do everything it can to maintain projects and partnerships. However, we have to work within the restrictions and uncertainties of the current crisis.

If we are to respond successfully to the current uncertainties then flexibility and adaptability will be key requirements in our planning. Further to this, each of our projects has its own particular demands and specific circumstances. With this in mind we intend to review the planning for each project, in consultation with our partners and stakeholders at specific intervals and decide how to take things forward.

In order to do this successfully we will have to base any decisions on the best information we have at hand. We will therefore need the cooperation of all of our partners in this process and will request regular updates either through email or Skype. In addition, the success of any approach will also require a level of understanding from all concerned and the willingness to cooperate, adapt and look for constructive ways forward.
